Outstanding forensic expert Pavel Potapov served honestly in law enforcement until he faced a personal tragedy: he was swindled out of his apartment, and his son was hospitalized in critical condition. The only chance of recovery is an extremely complex and extremely expensive operation, for which Potapov, of course, has no money. And now he has no home either. Torn between his duty to the service and his duty to his family, Potapov chooses his son. He uses his professional skills to distribute counterfeit money, collaborating with former enemies. He contacts the counterfeiter Kolesnikov, who works so masterfully that no one can distinguish his creations from the originals. Everything goes smoothly until Kolesnikov’s relative and partner finds out that Potapov is a former cop.
