Lida lives in the small village of Kolpakovo. She is an ordinary, modest and quiet girl with a big dream—to become a flight attendant. Lida was raised by her mother; she saw her father only once, five years ago, and she cherishes the warmest memories of that meeting, as well as a pair of silver earrings. Back then, her father promised that after finishing school, Lida would be able to come and visit him.
And now Lida’s mother is getting married again. The girl realizes that she is no longer wanted and decides to head to Moscow. Her father is happy to see his daughter, but his family—his capricious wife and spoiled daughters—will do anything to get rid of her.
