However, things are far from smooth in her personal life. For several years now, Alla has been dating the influential prosecutor Akimov, who keeps promising her a bright future and a divorce from his wife. Tired of the constant deception, the heroine finally decides to end her painful relationship with her cowardly lover. Alla tells him so over the phone. The conversation is strange: Akimov speaks of some danger threatening Alla. The young woman does not take his words seriously. But when she returns home that evening, she is horrified to find the body of her former lover on her doorstep. Alla becomes the prime suspect in the prosecutor’s murder. To prove her innocence, she launches her own investigation into what happened. Very soon, Alla realizes that a mysterious community attended by Akimov’s widow Raisa is somehow involved in everything.
