In the previous part of the Series, Katya Matveyeva married Dima—her cherished dream of a prince on a white horse came true. But their family life is troubled at first, and then falls apart altogether. Jealousy gives Dima no peace, and soon he becomes convinced that Katya is cheating on him with his former friend. In a fit of anger, he throws his pregnant wife out of the house.
