It all begins when Andrei, a young and handsome doctor from Moscow, arrives in a small village, where he meets Lisa, an artist. The girl sincerely believes that Andrei is her true love, sent by fate, because even before meeting him, she somehow painted his portrait. However, after some time, Lisa learns that she has been deceived: Andrei does not actually love her; he simply made a bet with his friend that he could win the girl over. However, Lisa realizes this too late.
