At a Soviet Far Eastern garrison, a romance begins between young Lieutenant Ivan and the beautiful nurse Marina. The main obstacle between them is Marina’s domineering husband, the experienced and cruel Captain Nikita Goloshchekin, who will never give up his beloved wife. Goloshchekin knows about her infidelity and is looking for a way to get rid of his rival, who seems more noble than he is.
The Series is set in the 1970s in the Soviet Far East, at a military garrison located in a taiga town on the Chinese border. It is naive to hope for a private life or to keep secrets here, so everyone soon learns about the affair and that the captain’s wife is expecting a child by someone else.
