Masha grew up in a troubled family: her mother throws her and her baby out onto the street, while the child’s father refuses to acknowledge them and erases them from his life. The young woman is left without money, support, or a roof over her head. Businessman Mikhail accidentally witnesses her despair. Moved by Masha’s story, he decides to help by giving her shelter in his home, despite the protests of his wife and son. However, the idyll does not last long: armed men break into the mansion at night, and Mikhail and his wife are killed. Masha miraculously survives, but she is named the main suspect. Artyom, Mikhail’s son, launches his own investigation to find the real criminals, restore Masha’s freedom, and help her reunite with her child.
