The incident completely throws Valentin off balance, and he decides to change his specialization despite his colleagues’ advice. Having become a pediatrician, the doctor starts seeing patients at an ordinary district clinic. The wound from his breakup is still fresh, and Valentin is still afraid to trust women. By irony of fate, it is women who surround the young doctor at his new job.
One day, Valentin is called out to see a sick girl. It is a standard situation, but the medic finds it strange because of the little patient’s mother’s behavior. The doctor’s intuition proves correct: a few days later, the child disappears without a trace.
