Svetlana has devoted her whole life to her family, caring for her husband Anton and their son Denis. But as soon as Anton learns that their son is not his biological child, he immediately accuses his wife of infidelity. To get to the bottom of the situation, Svetlana begins an investigation and discovers that her child died at birth and that a switch took place at the maternity hospital. Her husband remains rude and cold nonetheless, and Svetlana decides to move to another city with her son. There, she meets Kirill, who has only recently rented the apartment next door. They begin to grow closer, but Svetlana has no idea that Kirill moved in next to her for a reason.
