In 1962, a peaceful demonstration by workers at the Novocherkassk plant, who took to the streets after their wages were cut, ended in gunfire, the deaths of innocent people, and the arrest of “ringleaders” on false charges. The tragic events made an indelible impression on a young witness from Rostov, artist Vyacheslav Tolstopyatov, who had come to visit the girl he loved. Together with his older brother, he forms a gang of “phantomases” — elusive masked robbers who have come to hate the law.
The Series stars popular and beloved actors Vladimir Vdovichenkov (“Brigada”), Sergei Zhigunov (“My Fair Nanny”), Alyona Babenko (“A Driver for Vera”), Konstantin Lavronenko (“The Return”), and Bohdan Stupka (“With Fire and Sword”). The Series was directed by Konstantin Khudyakov, director of the films “At Upper Maslovka,” “He, She and I,” and “No Return Address.”
