Someone calling himself the Archangel searches the world for people who, because of their own foolishness, die in the prime of life. He recruits six such people for a special team, so that with their help he can save fools just like themselves. The first to join the team is a young man named Oleg, who crashed into a tree while drunk; the second is Violetta, a contract killer who was herself «put out a hit on»; as well as a bride disappointed in her groom, a drug addict who miscalculated her dose, a suicidal soldier, and an inveterate gambler who decided to end his life after a major loss.
