The first season of the Series «Snow and Ashes» is set during the Great Patriotic War. In 1942, a large number of Soviet soldiers found themselves surrounded, and the Germans began preparing an offensive against them. An important component of this offensive is the work of a dangerous saboteur operating within the ranks of the Russian army. To identify him and thwart the Nazis’ plans, the NKVD leadership sends its best officer, Major Urusov, to the surrounded territory. A team of three cadets arrives there with him. Now they must conduct an investigation and find the saboteur as quickly as possible. However, all their theories collapse one after another, while witnesses die in unusual ways.
