The life story of Blessed Matrona from a Ryazan village, who, despite her own suffering, helped countless people. The documentary movie tells of her childhood, arrest, and the miracles she performed. <p>Born in 1864 in the Ryazan village of Anemnyasevo, she experienced pain and hardship from childhood: beatings from her mother and a severe illness that deprived her of her sight and ability to walk. Confined to her bed, she did not lose faith and comforted everyone who came to her for help. When word of Matrona’s miracles spread far beyond the village, streams of sufferers began making their way to her home, and she found time and strength for each of them.</p> <p>The Soviet authorities did everything they could to erase the memory of the blessed woman, but thanks to a manuscript that miraculously survived and was discovered in our time, the story of Matrona of Anemnyasevo became known throughout the Orthodox world.</p> <p>Watch the movie «The Secret of Blessed Matrona of Anemnyasevo» online on ivi.</p>
