Police officer Alexei Turbin became an outcast at his precinct after refusing to cover for a fellow officer. The colleague had treated a detainee with unjustified brutality. But instead of a new partner, Turbin is unexpectedly assigned... a taxi. Alexei becomes part of a secret police project and begins patrolling the streets disguised as an inconspicuous driver.
