A fire breaks out at an abandoned farm near a small town, after which the burial site of several women is discovered. All the victims died violent deaths: their hands were tied with fishing line, and sand was found in their mouths. The murders took place over the past two years. Among the victims is the wife of influential businessman Eduard Kalashnikov, who went missing five years ago.
Kalashnikov’s daughter Alina comes home to introduce her fiancé Denis to her father. Upon learning of the horrific crimes, the young woman decides to stay in town to figure out what is happening. Who brutally murdered the unfortunate women, and why? How are these tragic events connected to her family’s story? Alina must grow up, gain a better understanding of this harsh world, and make an impossible choice…
