The Avdeyevs seemed like a strong and close-knit family: Katya and Artyom are happily married, their son Zhenya successfully enrolls in university, and Artyom’s brother Vadim is married to Katya’s best friend. Everything changes when Zhenya learns that his father has another woman. Unable to live with the deception, he drops out of university and leaves. Meanwhile, Katya discovers that one of her patients is pregnant by Vadim, while Marta, Katya’s sister, ends up in pre-trial detention. As Katya becomes increasingly entangled in a web of betrayals and misfortunes, she begins to destroy her own life, but Fyodor—a police officer who has long had feelings for Katya—comes to her aid.
