Having taken a liking to her new acquaintance, Masha asks him to accompany her on a trip out of town to visit friends. She promised to come to meet her fiancé, and Maxim is perfectly suited for the role.
The gathering outdoors proceeds in a friendly atmosphere until one of the friends falls ill. The medics who arrive at the spot declare a sudden death, and everyone present comes under suspicion of poisoning.
Soon, the former police officer has to remember the old days and conduct his own investigation, as more and more of Masha’s friends become victims of a mysterious killer. But as events unfold, Maxim increasingly wonders whether their meeting was really accidental.
