The Series tells the story of Pavel Rudnev, an international-level intelligence agent. While carrying out another mission, Pavel accidentally discovers that he has a twin brother, Andrey, who works as an investigator at the local district police department. However, they do not manage to establish brotherly ties, as Andrey is killed after being mistaken for Pavel. Trying to make sense of what happened, Pavel learns that a mysterious mole within his department is systematically eliminating members of his squad. To find those responsible and avenge his brother’s death, Rudnev uses Andrey’s identity as cover. Pavel must now lead a double life: investigate cases at the local police station while simultaneously playing the role of an exemplary husband and family man.
