The events of the Series «Boarding House» unfold in 1905. Girls of noble birth who behave improperly are sent to a reform boarding school located on a secluded island in the Baltic Sea. At the center of the plot is Polina, who is searching for her sister, who disappeared under mysterious circumstances. Polina pretends to be a new pupil in order to get into the boarding school. The investigation Polina tries to conduct progresses slowly. She is held back by conflicts with the other girls and the strict mentor Zakharova. Soon, one by one, the girls begin to be gripped by a madness-inducing obsession. Polina faces a difficult task: she must not only find out what happened to her sister, but also manage to keep her sanity and somehow escape from the island.
