The Russian television Series «Four Seasons of Summer» is a story, full of dramatic twists and turns, about the love between Yegor Smirnov and Tata Shapovalova—young people from different social backgrounds and with different circles, around whom many events unfold. The events of the Series cover the period of the “wild 1990s,” an era of total lawlessness, rampant banditry, economic upheaval, and universal uncertainty. Amid this troubled time, Yegor and Tata found and fell in love with each other, paying no attention to the many difficulties they had to face almost immediately after meeting. Love became a reliable anchor for them as they sailed through the stormy sea of life. The eight-episode production focuses on conveying the drama and the difficult trials that disrupt the lovers’ happiness. The Series shows how love steadily transforms a person, revealing new qualities within them and compelling them to refine those they already possess. Yegor’s and Tata’s feelings will have to withstand a number of tests, as at some point the young people begin to feel that the whole world has turned against them.
