Meanwhile, a rumor spreads through the village that the land of Pyshkino has been bought by an oligarch named Bovt. Kostya decides to get to the bottom of this injustice and is ready to look the business shark in the mouth. However, Bovt turns out to be the nicest person, so charming that all the villagers take a liking to him. Galina, too, cannot resist the newcomer’s attentions. And Kostya, seeing how events unfold, decides to win his wife back at all costs.
