The Tsar decides that the Ural lands must also be annexed to the Tsardom of Muscovy, and appoints the fearless and reckless Cossack leader Yermak Timofeyevich to command the army. Yermak sets out on his famous Siberian campaign, giving viewers the opportunity to see how Russian history was made.
