For three years now, Rodion Stotsky has been working as the police chief of the resort town of Gurzuf. During this time, he has managed to keep all the local lawbreakers in line. But the situation suddenly changes with the start of the new holiday season: the town’s residents, who have grown accustomed to feeling completely safe, are shocked by several crimes occurring one after another. First, someone shoots up a car carrying criminal kingpins, then robs a truck transporting wages for Artek employees and attacks an underground gambling establishment.
