Zhenya Krasilova is a young and talented journalist. One day, she wrote an article claiming that any woman could make a wealthy man fall in love with her and then marry him. This article greatly angered millionaire Leonid Raevsky. He accuses Zhenya of the offensive groundlessness of her conclusions. To prove that the facts described in the article are truly typical, Zhenya has to accept the bet. According to its terms, she must marry a millionaire by following the logic of what she described. But over time, she faces a difficult dilemma: win the bet or find personal happiness.
