Audiobook based on Vadim Chekunov’s novella about the everyday life of a soldier.
Military service by conscription during the decline of the USSR and the unstable nineties has repeatedly become the subject of satire—not only in literature, but also in cinema, for example, in the cult movie «DMB». Vadim Chekunov’s work, in which humor intertwines with tragicomic notes, has earned particular affection from those who served during that very historical period. The audiobook based on the novella «Kirza», which was shortlisted for the «Russian Booker» Prize and brought the author widespread recognition, can be listened to online on ivi.
