The events of the Series «Matryoshka» unfold in 1983 in Leningrad. Yulia Morozova, a student at Leningrad University, is recruited by a KGB agent, Captain Igor Volokhov. The reason is her striking resemblance to the late wife of American spy Jim Wheeler. Wheeler receives secret information from a «mole» working in the Soviet defense industry. Within one month, Yulia must undergo training, infiltrate the spy’s inner circle, and help the KGB identify the person leaking classified data.
