The first season of the Russian dramatic mini-Series, «Roly-Poly», which can be watched online in our online cinema with free access, consists of two episodes and tells the story of a young woman who decides to completely free herself from parental control. The main character of the movie is under constant parental care. Valya will soon turn thirty, but she is still treated like a small child. Her parents do everything they can to control the girl’s every step. Ilona Igorevna and Boris Andreyevich not only make important decisions for their daughter, but also look for a groom for her. The main candidate for this role is a young man named Seryozha. He is just as dependent as Valya, but very well educated. The young man resembles a small child who constantly expects guidance and care from his mommy. Knowing this, Valya’s best friend nicknamed her Roly-Poly, emphasizing the girl’s lack of independence and weak will. After all, the heroine is unable to make her own decisions, so she always follows the advice and instructions of her domineering parents, who are accustomed to taking care of their daughter. The heroine grows quite tired of such treatment. For this reason, the girl decides to move out of her parents’ home. Valya begins to feel that life is like a bad dream, and she is merely a toy in the hands of her relatives. Valya has no desire to put up with this state of affairs. All of this seems unfair and wrong to her. Having made perhaps her first important decision, she begins an independent life that brings not only freedom, but also many difficulties. However, Valentina does not yet understand this. Will the heroine, who has never made any decisions on her own, be able to succeed in this difficult life? Or, disappointed, will she return to her parents’ home, to her mother and father?
