A year later, Oleg does indeed contact Marina to talk. However, the news her husband shares makes the woman even more distraught. Oleg asks for a divorce, as he wants to marry that very mistress. Marina takes this news hard, as it instantly deprives her of all hope.
But what happens a day later is completely beyond the woman’s comprehension. Marina is told that Oleg has been found dead near the office where he worked. The police who arrive at the scene conclude that the man committed suicide by jumping out of a window.
Neither Marina nor her rival Elena believes the official version of the investigation, as they believe Oleg had no reason to take his own life. Which means someone killed him.
To get to the truth and catch the killer, the two women will have to forget their hostility and join forces.
