Surgeon Evgenia Korolyova works in Tula. The entire hospital, which lacks modern equipment and good specialists, is eagerly awaiting the arrival of a doctor from the capital who will set things straight. But on the way to Tula, the long-awaited guest, Ilya Sokolov, is slipped clonidine in his cognac and robbed. Then Sokolov and his robber end up at the hospital, where a mix-up occurs: the criminal, who was hit by a car, is mistaken for Sokolov.
