Maxim Savelyev is a talented programmer who, at a young age, has managed to become the best in his field. He learned how to write programs, but not how to choose friends. Maxim’s close friend sets him up badly in front of the dangerous and influential oligarch Bushuyev. The latter begins hunting the young man, and the hero has to flee the capital immediately.
A long search leads him to the secluded Siberian village of Pikhta, located in the Tomsk Region. To avoid being found, Maxim has to give up almost all the benefits of civilization and get a job at the local sawmill. By a strange twist of fate, it belongs to Bushuyev.
