Kirill Romanov built a brilliant career in the GRU special service, rising to the rank of major, and few know that all these years his heart has harbored an unrelenting pain caused by the tragic death of his mother, who perished in a fire. Twenty years after those events, the major receives a message from Yefimov, the man responsible for the incident who has been released from prison, in which he tries to convince Romanov of his own innocence and punish the true culprits.
Wanting to determine where the truth lies and where the lies are, Kirill resigns and goes to Siberia, to the presumed site of a major oil company where the fire occurred. Upon arriving at the spot, Romanov meets a girl named Dasha, whose friends and family died under similar circumstances. Kirill realizes that his mother and Dasha’s relatives died because of someone’s evil intent and decides to conduct his own investigation.
