When entrepreneur Dmitry Silotsky turns to a detective agency, he behaves strangely. The man complains that familiar things and places have begun to seem alien and unfamiliar to him, as if they had changed dramatically. Then the protagonist declares that his nickname is Lancelot and that he wants to be a modern knight. This nonsense begins to irritate the detectives, and then the client tells them about a real problem. He asks them to find his assistant, Vladimir Kachkov, who disappeared under mysterious circumstances.
The detectives do not like Dmitry, especially since his wife turns out to be Babkin’s ex-wife. They are about to refuse the investigation when Silotsky is suddenly killed in an explosion on his motorcycle. Afterward, the investigators begin receiving threats telling them not to interfere in the case. This piques the detectives’ interest, and now there is no turning back.
