Private detectives Sergey Babkin and Makar Ilyushin once again take on a “mystical” case. The partners flatly refuse to believe that people are being frightened by ghosts and carried away by demons—they always find logical and entirely earthly explanations for any crimes, even the most complicated ones.
This time, Babkin and Ilyushin are investigating the murder of the old woman Ladynina.
Quite soon, they realize that the search for the killer may drag on considerably: every other villager had reasons to settle scores with Ladynina, as she had ruined many lives and harmed many people... The detectives transform themselves into psychologists and prepare to explore the dark sides of the villagers’ souls in order to brilliantly solve this case once again.
