The Series is set in 1980. At first glance, Konstantin Voloshin appears to be an ordinary employee of a research institute in the city of Odesa. However, in reality, this job is merely a cover for his illegal activities. After all, Konstantin is a professional card sharp. Thanks to his card skills, Konstantin is able to win money from anyone. Konstantin needs the money to leave the USSR and reunite with his father, who lives abroad. Konstantin hopes to carry out this plan with the help of his uncle, the crime boss Balaban. However, Konstantin does not know that Balaban is responsible for the misfortunes that befell his family.
