The third season is set in 1942. A group of elusive saboteurs is operating in Gorky, seeking to obtain information about the secrets of Soviet defense production. State Security Captain Georgy Volkov manages to pick up the spies’ trail. However, catching them will be far from easy, as the saboteurs are led by Volkov’s longtime enemy, the experienced German spy Konrad von Bützow.
