The events of the series «Death to Spies!» unfold in 1944. It is the story of an operation carried out by a special unit of Soviet counterintelligence called SMERSH. According to unconfirmed information, enemy agents are operating in the liberated territory. Their goal is to obtain documents about secret negotiations with the Germans that could compromise the Soviet government. These documents are located in the underground chambers of Hitler’s former headquarters. Meanwhile, intelligence is investigating mysterious incidents: two trains collided despite excellent visibility, a group of surveyors disappeared, and one pilot unexpectedly directed his plane straight into the ground.
