November 1944. At one of the border stations, Lieutenant Koshkin opened fire on the border guards. A second before his death, the wounded Koshkin manages to tell an SMERSH colonel that he is a saboteur who arrived to meet a German resident agent. Counterintelligence is mobilized. A special envoy arrives from Moscow, where an urgent message had been sent. He reports that a meeting between Stalin, Churchill, and Roosevelt will soon take place in Yalta. Apparently, a sabotage center is operating in Crimea, tasked with disrupting the allies’ negotiations. The contact is to take place near a large sanatorium, where the agent was supposed to recognize Koshkin by a special identification mark. Using the documents of the deceased Koshkin, our intelligence officer is sent to meet the resident agent.
