Journalist Masha takes part in a rally against the demolition of a historical building. Local residents believe that the permit was obtained illegally by a corrupt official. Her good friend, actor Igor, who grew up in this neighborhood, comes to support her.
Masha manages to capture a conversation between a deputy and a dangerous gangster on camera. When the unwanted witness is spotted, she runs away, hiding the camera in Igor’s bag. It seems the adventure has succeeded, but soon Igor is found dead. The police call it an accident, but Masha and Maxim are convinced that the young man was murdered. The heroes launch an investigation that leads them to the prestigious White Crow clinic for nervous disorders, headed by the scandalous psychotherapist Asya Mayevskaya.
