Successful accountant Katya is married to Sergei, a charming driving instructor. He seems like a loving, caring husband, but she feels that he is hiding something from her. One day, Sergei brings home six-year-old Sonya, his daughter from his first marriage—there is no one to leave her with while Sergei’s ex-wife is in the hospital. Not believing this story, Katya asks her neighbor Igor, a former detective, to look into her husband’s past. Soon, Sergei is blackmailed and accused of his ex-wife’s disappearance.
