Maternity leave for obstetrician-gynecologist Natalya Bakhmetyeva ends prematurely. While she was getting used to the unfamiliar role of a housewife and young mother, the mortality rate among newborns at her medical center rose tragically. Natasha herself becomes a witness to a tragedy when, before her very eyes, a truck hits a pregnant woman. Unwilling to stand aside, Dr. Bakhmetyeva returns to the operating table.
