The first season of the Russian drama mini-Series «Terror by Love», available to watch online in our online cinema with free access, starting with either of its two episodes, tells the story of an ordinary woman who tries to act with the best intentions but, without realizing it herself, begins to destroy her daughter’s personal happiness. A simple and straightforward woman, Antonina, works at a factory and raises her daughter Nonna on her own. Since her youth, Tonya has loved giving everyone valuable instructions and meddling in other people’s lives with unsolicited advice. It was in this atmosphere that young Nonna grew up, dreaming of escaping as soon as possible from their cramped communal apartment and from under her mother’s care. After enrolling in the acting department, Nonna meets Lev Tsarenkov, the dean of the institute. The young people’s relationship develops into deep feelings and a marriage proposal. It would seem that the mother should be happy for her daughter, but Antonina is dissatisfied with everything here as well and interferes with her advice. After celebrating their wedding, the couple moves into the dean’s spacious apartment. Soon, the newlyweds have their first child. Lev is busy at the institute, while Nonna works at the theater. The young parents are forced to invite Antonina to be their nanny. Having moved into the Tsarenkovs’ apartment, Antonina immediately begins imposing her own rules, ignoring the opinion of the apartment’s owner and driving him to nervous breakdowns. This causes a serious rift in the couple’s relationship. Nonna is given an ultimatum in the form of a difficult choice: either her husband or her mother. Whom will the young woman choose, when this choice has haunted her all her life?
