After the death of his family, surgeon Roman Radin lost the will to live. He withdrew into himself, stopped leaving the house, and no longer performs operations. His meeting with the charming Nina Somova, who works as an editor for a medical journal, brings Roman back to life. Roman and Nina have a great deal in common, but this is precisely what seems suspicious to detective German, an old friend of Roman and his family. Suspecting that Roman is in danger, German begins his own investigation.
