The Russian drama Series "Thin Ice" is devoted to the timeless problem of a love triangle, but what sets it apart from hundreds of similar projects is, at the very least, its star-studded cast. Over the course of twelve episodes, the characters played by Ekaterina Guseva, Alexey Guskov, and Yegor Beroev will sort out their relationships. The premise is more or less typical of any melodrama: a young woman, Irina Palagina, a mother of two, grows tired of her despotic husband Igor and decides to divorce him, giving her heart to the talented race car driver Andrey. In turn, he leaves his fiancée Nastya, who is in love with him, right on the eve of their wedding, surrendering to his true feelings. At the same time, a drama unfolds in the relationship between Igor’s half-brother, the city’s mayor Viktor, and his young wife Dasha—Irina’s best friend: both spouses cheat, while still maintaining appearances in each other’s eyes. Igor Palagin, having verbally agreed to let Irina go, has no intention of doing so and is ready to go as far as committing a crime in order to preserve his family and status.
