One evening, Irina comes home to her apartment and finds a strange woman there—the one her husband intends to live with. While awaiting the divorce, she goes to stay with her father in a small town, where many people are unhappy to see her. Old acquaintances blame Ira for the death of her former lover, who jumped from a balcony. But she also makes new acquaintances when she comes to the aid of a spirited little girl and her father, Igor.
