The Series «Eclipse» is set in 1960. In a Moscow hospital, a pathologist notices signs of smallpox on the body of a deceased woman, Maria Knyazhinskaya. It is believed that this disease simply cannot exist on the territory of the Soviet Union. KGB Colonel Shilov takes on the case; his wife died of this illness long ago. Shilov begins to worry about his rebellious daughter Nastya. The colonel discovers that Maria had recently been in Delhi and received a dress as a gift from a French journalist aboard the plane. The KGB agent tries to determine how the disease is spreading, and to do so, he will have to immerse himself in the life of the capital’s criminal underworld.
