The first season of the Russian detective Series «The Mermaid’s Call», which can be watched online in our internet cinema starting with any of the eight episodes, tells the story of an investigator searching for a serial killer. In the coastal town of Berezhnyansk, bodies covered in strange scales begin to be found. This leads the local superstitious residents to believe that a real mermaid from ancient legends is responsible for the murders. Investigator Yuri Bakhtin arrives to conduct the investigation, accustomed to believing exclusively in facts and sound logic. Moreover, he did not end up in this town by chance, as he himself grew up in these parts. His old friends, former lover, and enemies remain here, greatly complicating an already difficult case.
