The first season of the detective Series "And in Our Yard" introduces the show’s original premise: the residents of an ordinary Moscow courtyard investigate twelve incidents—one per episode. The story begins with the arrival of new residents in the courtyard: retired investigator and native Muscovite Vladimir Kaleny, and Mavlyuda Edgarova, a female janitor from Uzbekistan. Ironically, the future partners first meet in conflict, when Kaleny intends to throw Mavlyuda out of the basement where she has been forced to settle. However, when Vladimir himself gets into serious trouble, it is Mavlyuda’s powers of observation and deduction that save him from a prison sentence. Thus begins their detective tandem, whose effectiveness will be proven in every episode. Moreover, the variety of cases taken on by Kaleny and Mavlyuda is enough to impress even the most seasoned detectives. Car thefts and the mysterious disappearances of their owners, resolving other people’s family conflicts, saving courtyard dogs from unknown shooters—Vladimir and Mavlyuda take on everything.
