The main character of the Series «Women’s Revolt, or War in Novoselkovo» is Yegor. Yegor’s fellow soldier, Maxim, dies. After leaving the armed forces, Yegor learns that Maxim has left him a horse farm and asked him to help his wife and sons. Yegor goes to the village of Novoselkovo, where he takes charge of the entire farm and becomes a reliable support for the deceased man’s family. At the same time, three ladies from the capital arrive in the same village. One has run away from her mother-in-law, another has left her fiancé at the altar, and the third is being sought by bailiffs. It is not easy for the women to adapt to village life after living in Moscow. Their helplessness awakens compassion in the local men, making the local women jealous.
