Marina, a very modest and gentle girl, is preparing to enter the conservatory. Thanks to the connections of her mother, Inga Belozerova, once a famous actress, she manages to study with the best solfeggio teacher, Nina Georgievna. The girl falls in love with her teacher’s son, Kirill, and he reciprocates her feelings. It turns out that more than twenty years ago, passions ran high between Belozerova and Kirill’s father—they had an affair. Years later, the feelings between Inga and Vyacheslav had not cooled and even flared up with renewed force. The lovers had no idea how painfully the events of long-gone days could affect the present, or what the revenge of friends and family could be like.
