Clergyman Matvey arrives in the provinces. He dreams of taking a break from the noise of the city, living in a secluded place, and helping the people around him with their spiritual problems and quests. Everything around him seems pleasant and kind, and he is happy about his move. Matvey settles in, but over time he realizes that the local residents are not as simple and friendly as they seem—it is merely a façade hiding terrible secrets and intrigues. Father Matvey must unravel this unusual tangle, understand what is happening in people’s hearts, and try to help them. What happened in the town? How can the situation be changed?
